What's in a Name?

Call it a jumper, romper, onesie, or my personal favorite, the playsuit; whatever the word, IT is seriously fun and honestly funny. I have quite a collection going, and it never would have occurred to me that it was worth mentioning until I happened upon vogue.com and saw some of my very own former employers wearing the onesie and faithfully giving their favorite recommendations of where to find this "new" treat.

Since I no longer work at Vogue, I have a freedom of dress that was somewhat stifled during my internship. It seemed that Vogue was a little too serious about fashion, where I always thought that fashion was supposed to be fun. It is a little bit humorous, I think, that these frigidly fashionable women at Vogue are running around in rompers!

Giggles and whispers aside, I didn't quite like their picks for the cutest playsuits, so here are my own runway inspirations:

top shop unique spring rtw

ysl spring rtw, more formal and sophisticated

marc jacobs spring rtw with frills

house of holland spring rtw

ysl fall 2009 means the jumper is here to stay.

Born and raised under the Los Angeles sun and smog. At sixteen spent some time in LA County Juvenile Detention Center, although never really learned her lesson. Moved to Boston for the classic college experience. Spray painted graffiti in the Paris Metro during six month stay in the Marais. Survived an ultra fabulous and frightening internship at Vogue Magazine while living at a nunnery in Hell's Kitchen. Lived a year in Seoul, a city which can only be compared to a Disneyland theme park. Written four hundred sixty-four words of an undisclosed masterpiece novel. Currently pondering her next adventure and also the meaning of her memoirs from an artist's loft in dirty Brooklyn.
